Decemberchild 2006 Recap:

Thanks to everybody for making this year's Decemberchild Benefit Concert the most successful one yet! On November 18th, 2006, over $1000 was raised for the Valley Churches United Missions!  The Carl Wakeland Duo, Blueprint, and Superior Olive kept the audience entertained until the very end, when a special guest from the North Pole came out with his board to boogie down on the dance floor.  Yeah, he knows it's not a Christmas Show, but he just wanted to pay his respects!

This year’s Decemberchild Benefit Concert on Nov. 18th promises to be the best yet! To be held at Felton Community Hall on Hwy 9, free food will be served, so come hungry. But leave room for the birthday cake, and for the first time, ice cream! And as always, 100% of the donations collected go to Valley Churches United Missions to benefit their many programs for the needy. Your generosity will go far to help this wonderful organization that helps so many thousands of people in Santa Cruz County.
The party starts at 7PM on Saturday, Nov. 18th, and food will be available from the start. Beer and wine will also be available for those over 21 years of age, and soft drinks for the kids. Live music provided by Superior Olive, Blueprint, and the Carl Wakeland Duo (Featuring Bryan Lanser on Drums) will start at 8:30PM and go on until 11:00PM.

News Update, 11/14/06:  A late addition to the Concert Lineup will be the Jazz Fusion musings of  The Carl Wakeland Duo, Featuring Bryan Lanser on Drums.  These are two virtuoso musicians in their element.  Just try to keep up with them!  Seriously, you won't want to miss this.
